Not Everything is as it appears….

In this day and age when social media is constantly in our face it would appear that some people have it better than others, or that someone is fine or happy, when in reality they are not.I have spoken with people who almost get frustrated with people who will post things that appear to be something in order to portray something they are not. This even goes beyond frustration into cynical comments towards those people who go over the top mushy or loving, when in real life they do not have this going on in their life. Some people have become so anti social media simply because they do not want to deal with this type of behavior. I guess I understand to some extent. I have seen it happen, even people who I happen to know that portray something through their social media that is not really what is happening at home, but that’s their prerogative. Its on you, if you are involved with these people and you choose to say nothing about it. Who cares what other people are posting if it is not real? Especially if they are sucking you into it and you are allowing it. NOT only allowing it, but even contributing to it. The fault is on you for surrounding yourself with them, I say! Duh!! Shallow people attract shallow people….you don’t want to be involved?…then find the real people and get enough courage to change your environment! Can you tell this gets to me? I don’t get it when people complain about something but they don’t change it. It’s like Jim Rohn used to say: You’re not a tree, if you don’t like it -change it!
My response to this/them is always this: Well, umm…. I know that what I post is what is going on in my life. I am as real on these pages as I am in real person. You want to know something? Ask me….just don’t ever ask me a question you don’t really want to know the answer to….because I’m always going to tell you the truth! Maybe even more nostalgic or over energetic in person than can be seen on these pages; but at the end of the day I am a real person. I get sad, happy, excited, mushy, loving, angry, frustrated, enthusiastic, overjoyed, scared, creative and on and on and on……and I am such an open book that I will share. You want to know something? I repeat; Ask me anything …because I’m always going to tell you the truth! Those people who will only post the perfect home life they have, let them! That’s the illusion they want to make people believe they have because that’s ALL they have! The image of what they “think” people want to see. They measure themselves by the likes on the pictures they post of the relationships they don’t even really have. I say, good for them and their delusion. And, if you don’t like it?! Then maybe you should have enough self-worth to not take pictures with them when you know they will end up in their social media claiming you to have been in such a blissful loving place with them….ummmm, unless of course THAT’S exactly what YOU , yourself wanted to also portray!?! You know what they say: A picture is worth a thousand words! It’s your picture too if you are on it….You can allow it, or have it removed as easy as it is posted. On that note: Keep it real peeps…life is too short to have someone fake your life from you!
